Los Pelados
Los Pelados, located at an altitude of 1,300 meters above sea level, is one of the best vineyard areas in the south of Tenerife and is, together with Las Dehesas, the vineyards with the longest history in the Güímar Valley.
Traditional vines and glasses of Listán Blanco between 60 and 70 years old.
The plot is located in a very hilly area, with a steep slope and very poor and stony soils, hence the name Los Pelados.
CLASSIFICATION: Dry white wine
DENOMINATION OF ORIGIN: Valle de Güímar. Tenerife. Canary Islands.
VARIETIES: Listán Blanco 100%
PRESENTATION: 75 cl Burgundy bottle in boxes of 6 units.
PRINCIPLE: To obtain a wine that is a true reflection of the terroir of the Los Pelados terroir.
WINE MAKING: Manual selection and harvesting of the grapes. The must ferments with the indigenous yeast in used French oak barrels of 500 liters. Subsequently the wine is aged for a minimum of 6 months in the same barrels where it ferments. It is bottled without filtering or fining.
TASTING NOTES:
Color: Pale yellow.
Aroma: Freshly cut grass, lemon rind, scrubland.
Palate: Fresh, mineral, hints of lemon rind.
