bottle of ORACAN wine from the Bodega Hermanos Mesa winery

Made with Listán Blanco grapes from our plot La Degollada. Plot located at an altitude of 1,300 meters in the area known as Los Pelados, in the Valley of Güímar, in the south of the Canary Island of Tenerife.

60/70 year old vines grown in traditional vineyards on very poor, stony soils of volcanic origin.

Fermented in earthenware jars with 100% of the skins, where it is kept for 2 months until devatting, and then aged on its lees for a further 6 months in the same jar, where in some years, spontaneously, part of the aging is carried out under a veil of flor.

CLASSIFICATION: Dry white wine

DENOMINATION OF ORIGIN: Valle de Güímar. Tenerife. Canary Islands.

VARIETIES: Listán Blanco 100%

PRESENTATION: 75 cl Burgundy bottle in boxes of 6 units.

PRINCIPLE: To obtain an orange wine that reflects variety, soil and vintage.

WINEMAKING: Manual selection and harvesting of the grapes. The must ferments with the indigenous yeast together with 100% of the grape skins in an earthenware jar.

It remains in the vat with the skins for 2 months, after devatting it is kept in the same vat for a further 6 months, where it can spontaneously develop a veil of flor.

Bottled unfiltered and unclarified.

TASTING NOTES:

Color: pale orange.
Aroma: honey, orange peel, hydrocarbons, ripe fruit.
Palate: fresh, mineral, full-bodied, hints of orange peel and honey.
